Diabetes-Related Testing
Overview
CORbio HbA1c
Diabetes-Related Testing
HbA1c reflects average blood glucose levels over the past 2–3 months by measuring the proportion of
hemoglobin bound to glucose in red blood cells.
This test is used as a standard indicator for the diagnosis of diabetes and the evaluation of
long-term glycemic control.
Because it is not significantly affected by acute blood glucose fluctuations, it is useful for
assessing treatment effectiveness and predicting the risk of complications.
