Cardiovascular Risk Testing
Overview
CORbio sdLDL-C
Cardiovascular Risk Testing
sdLDL-C (small dense LDL cholesterol) is an atherogenic particle associated with an increased risk of
atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. It is more susceptible to oxidation and readily penetrates
the arterial wall, and is therefore closely linked to coronary artery disease and cerebrovascular
disease.
Accordingly, sdLDL-C testing is an important marker for assessing residual cardiovascular risk even
when conventional LDL-C levels are within the normal range.
